GERALD M. WELT received his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. He has been in practice since 1973. Mr. Welt's areas of practice emphasize Workers' Compensation and Social Security Disability law. He has served on the Nevada Trial Lawyers Association Board of Governors since 1979 as a board member, Treasurer, President-Elect, President and Chief Administrative Officer. He has been co-chair of Citizens For Justice since 1992. He was a member of the President's Council of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and is a moderator and instructor for the People's Law School for Workers' Compensation and Social Security Disability. As a member of both the Professionalism and Lawyer’s Information and Referral Services Committees, he is very active within the State Bar of Nevada. He is general legal counsel for the Las Vegas Clark County Library District. He has served as a member of the State of Nevada Medical Dental Screening Panel since its inception. He is a member of the court appointed arbitration panel and has acted as arbitrator in multiple cases since 1996. He is a member of the National Association of Disability Examiners (NADE) and past State Chairman for the National Organization of Social Security Claimant Representatives (NOSSCR). Attorney Welt is a member of the Nevada State Bar and Clark County Bar Associations. Welt was recently named as a Colleague of the Nevada Law Foundation. He has volunteered in a variety of capacities for numerous charitable and non-profit organizations.
